Outreach

Our outreach ministry connects our church with other churches not only in Toledo, but throughout Lucas county. Outreach also works with all our ministries communicating their activities to our local television channels and radio stations. Our outreach ministry also shares events and other items of interest that are happening in our community to our church congregation.

The ministry of Scared Arts was established to enable those with gifts in music-making, dance, poetry, prose and all media of arts to share their talents and gifts as a demonstration of their love for the Lord and his people. We hope to encourage the people of God to worship with us as we sing, dance, read poetry and prose which is inspired by the Spirit of the Lord.

Sacred arts also involve handmade artworks that remind us of God’s love for us and show our devotion to Him. Fabric banners, artwork, and signs are on display throughout the facility. Sunday school children often have craft time as part of the class.

Every good and perfect gift is from the Lord (James 1: 17).

Psalm 149:3-4: “Let them praise His name with dancing and make music to Him with timbrel and harp. For the Lord takes delight in His people; He crowns the humble with victory.”

It is our goal to glorify the Giver with each one of our gifts, talents, and abilities. Won’t you join us?

Youth Ministry

Youth Leader Vision

My vision as the youth leader here at Greater Grace Christian church is to establish a foundation for building christian character, morals, values and behaviors in young people by using creative and innovative methods to excite, inspire, capture and light young people for Jesus. Our goal is to help the youth discover their purpose and work diligently in what God has called them to do. We want young people to understand and recognize who Jesus is and what it is to live for him ONLY. Here at greater Grace Christian church we are committed to our youth, we create a safe place for youth and plan at least two field trips per month. We are looking forward to what God is getting ready to do here and it’s going to be BIG!

Our children and youth ministry’s mission is to encourage our youth to become the young men and women that God has called them to be. Our youth have their own Sunday school class. They are active participants in their own choir, a liturgical dance group. The 3rd Sunday of each month they participate in the entire service. Our children are our future, and we provide a strong Christian base for them to live with. Here at GGCC, we help our youth discover their gifts and purpose.

Hospitality Team

Our hospitality ministry touches each ministry, event or special program that happens. They do a fantastic job of supporting our church. Some of the things they oversee includes our Sunday morning family breakfast, our Wednesday night family bible study meal, preparing meals for all our special events. It is not uncommon for them to work hand in hand with our pastor with decorations in the church worship center. They host several women’s events throughout the year. They also reach out to the women’s shelters in Toledo and deliver necessary toiletries, clothing, and other items of need.

Peggy’s Pennies

Those in need may take advantage of the low-cost and no-cost items in our thrift store, Peggy’s Pennies. The store is open every 2nd and 4th Saturdays from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Your purchases help to support several missions in our local area and it’s a very sustainable way of living. Donations to Peggy’s Pennies may be made on the days we are open. We only accept items that are gently used. No children’s toys accepted.
